Relay for Life California 2011

I got back from another Relay for Life conference on Saturday called the Relay Committee Academy in Gilroy.  It was pretty much the exact same stuff I learned at the conference in Anaheim a month earlier but on a much smaller scale.  This one was just for the relays in the Silicon Coastal North region, about 15 or so relays.  I learned a few new things and a couple new ideas but they also went over the final numbers for the state of California (not each individual team, but just the state as a whole).

I did find out the week beforehand though that my team, West Coast Family Ties raised $3,515.50!!!  That was 3x our original goal and we are aiming even higher this coming year.  A ginormous thanks to everyone who helped us achieve that number last year!!!  The fundraising has already begun for 2012 and ANY help would take us a LONG way!  You can also join our team as a VIRTUAL TEAMMATE and even if you are on the other side of the country you can join up with our team and start raising your own money...give it a try, the more the merrier!!!
