Big Sur International Half Marathon

Over and done with, finally!  With all of the worrying about the weather it turned out to be an outstanding day for a race, even getting hot at one point but mainly sunny and cool.  I ran my fastest race I've ever ran for this distance setting a PR of 1:30:13!  This beat my previous PR of 1:35:06.  I won't say I felt great the entire race, my calves were tight for the majority of it, but I definitely pushed myself throughout all 13 and if I coulda hit the small hills a little harder I could have broke 90 minutes.  I had a enough push left at the end though to pass a bunch of people and finish strong.  This was a great way to re-motivate myself because I honestly was not sure I could keep up this pace for all 13 and now that I know I'm capable of it I'm ready to go out there and beat it.  I'm very glad that the hard work paid off.  I'm ready to take a short break, let my legs heal up a bit and then get out and get going again!
