Grabbed my buddy's board this morning as he was getting out of the water to go to work around 7 this morning. When I first got there and before I had gotten in the water, I didn't think it looked like there was much going on with the waves. After I got on the water I realized very quickly I was wrong. The waves were bigger than last time and consistently coming in. And this time I had the water all to myself. I let the first couple of waves go by as I swam out and got situated as I was watching them roll in. Then I decided to go for it and got up on my first try!!! I didn't go very far but this one definitely counted as getting up. I tried a bunch more and was either not swimming hard enough or leaving at the wrong time cuz I just couldn't catch one for a while. I finally got up one more time before I decided to head in (my feet were frozen!) It was a fun time and a great chance to get out by myself and start figuring it out. Now I just gotta get my own board and some booties!
