It's that time of year again!!! While I'm super unprepared costume-wise I have been making up for it with classic horror movies. The season started off with a new one for me, The Cabin in the Woods. It was a pretty good, newer horror movie with teenagers, brief pre-slaughter nudity, not-so-virgin virgins to be sacrificed, zombies, monsters, and a very high body count!!!! It's a not-so-predictable movie that is entertaining and somewhat funny as well.
Second movie of the week was Psycho, a true classic and personal favorite. We watched the orignial Last House on the Left which was a disturbing, but true Wes Craven movie. Last night I was by myself for a triple feature of Children of the Corn and a double dose of Poltergeist. I had forgotten exactly how amazing all of these movies really were. And Poltergeist 2 is almost better than the first one (at least Craig T. Nelson is better) although the first one is still one of the main reasons I hate clowns.
Right now I'm watching Blair Witch 2 and it's pretty ridiculous. I've gotta go find a Halloween costume today for a party tomorrow and next Saturday. If anyone has any grand ideas that'd be greatly appreciated because I'm completely blanking this year!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!
